We have some walls! Well, really only a foundation, and the beginnings of a basement. This first picture is take from the southeast corner, showing the garage. 

This is taken from the northwest corner, which is obviously at the back of the house. Here you can really tell that most of the basement will be made with regular walls, since it is a walk-out. 

Free Falling

Well, I was let go from Birch Telecom yesterday. As most of you know, I believe the company is not going to last much longer. I have been looking for a new job for awhile, and now I can focus more time on it. I actually had two phone interviews today and another scheduled for tomorrow.

Things are finally happening with our house!! Here is a picture of our permit sign. The dirt has been excavated; a big hole has been dug; and the actual footing of the house has been poured! 

Still can't see much from across the street, as all the work so far is at the bottom of the hole. But I have witnesses now -- my parents and my visiting aunt and uncle. It can't be all in my imagination anymore. 

This picture is taken from the north, which is on the side of the house with the master bedroom, where all the trees will be. Hard to tell what is what exactly -- but at least you can see some concrete! 

Here is a close up taken from the southwest corner, which is the front edge of the garage. The big space in the front of the picture is the 3 car garage, with the rest of the house basically behind it.
